When the locket was opened in 1998, Melinda was brought back from death by the Charmed Ones to help them put Matthew back into the locket.
Moments before her death, Melinda prophesised the Charmed Ones.
You may kill me, but you cannot kill my kind. I vow that with each generation of Warren witches will grow stronger, culminating in the arrival of three sisters. She married a mortal, James Mule, but kept her surname since, like her mother, she realised that demons knew it and feared it. She had three children with James, Charlotte, Phillipa and Lola.
However, she feared that marrying a mortal was the reason for her husband’s and eldest daughter’s death.
After James’ death in 1911, Iris found it hard to continue with the demon hunting and left it to her children, who were now in their 20s. However, after Charlotte’s death at the hands of a demon, she blamed herself and a year later died, the cause is unknown but it is a suspected suicide.

Before her father’s death, she married a witch, Gordon Russell and they had one daughter who they named Pearl Russell. She decided to take her husband’s surname, not really believing that demons feared her because of her surname but because of her lineage.

Death: 1949
Phillipa spent her childhood life neglecting her magic and married a mortal man, Redmond Baxter and they had one daughter who they named Poppy. Phillipa took her husband’s last name, claiming that she was going to be a ‘proper wife’.
After her father’s death, she realised that she could not neglect her magic anymore, especially since her sisters were on a revenge kick. She practised her magic, but still did not join in with the fight. After her sister’s death, she helped her youngest sister find the demon and they vanquished it together.
After that happened, Phillip and her husband decided that it was time to get away from Boston and they moved to San Francisco, where they found out about the magical and spiritual nexus. They built what is now known as the Halliwell Manor in 1898, when Poppy was just one year old. They then rebuilt what had collapsed after the earthquake in 1906, but much of it was changed.
She was blessed with a granddaughter before her death.
She possessed the power to create illusions, although it was very weak since she neglected it.
Lola Bowen
Birth: 1879

Lola took after her eldest sister in bettering her magic, since she was the most passive of the three sisters. She married a witch, Gregory Mack, who helped her better her magic. She took his last name, however when her daughter, Phoebe, was born, she made sure Phoebe had the name Bowen, since she believed that demons feared that name.
After her father’s death, she helped her sister with her revenge, however was not there in time to help Charlotte before her death. P. Baxter
Birth: September1897
Death: December 1970
Poppy was the daughter of Phillipa Bowen. She was also Piper’s past life. She moved to San Francisco when she was just one-year-old, when her parents built the Halliwell Manor. She stayed there until her daughter was old enough to look after the house, claiming that it was “just too big for her”. During the 1920s, she and her cousins owned a speak-easy at the Manor, illegally due to it being during the prohibition and they served alcohol.
She married a mortal man, Gordon Johnson, who was Dan Gordon’s past life, and had an affair with Leo Wyatt’s past life, however his name is unknown.
P. Baxter gave birth to one daughter, Penelope Baxter, in a hotel room in Boston, while they were there to see family members. It was a breach birth. She started the P tradition after it seemed her cousins had all been named with that letter, along with her mother, even if it was just a coincidence.
In 1924, she said that it was time to kill Pearl Russell after the youngest cousin had gotten too close to Warlock Anton. P. Baxter was able to meet her eldest great-granddaughter, Prudence Halliwell, before she died in December 1970.
She possessed the power of molecular deceleration, however it could have been molecular immobilisation. It has not been confirmed if Anton fought her froze or not.
P. Russell
Birth: July 2nd 1900
Death: February 17th 1924
Pearl Russell was Phoebe’s past life. She moved from Boston to San Francisco with her cousin, Phoebe Bowen, where she lived at the Halliwell Manor with her other cousin, P. Baxter.
She helped run the speak-easy in the 1920s and worked as a fortune teller.
While in San Francisco, she met and fell in love with a Warlock named Anton. She began to use her powers for evil and began to plot to kill her cousins. Anton gave her a pendent that would protect her from all magic, however her cousins realised this and took it from her, before killing her and cursing all of her future lives.
Phoebe Halliwell went to 1924 to stop that from happening and has hopefully stopped the curse, although it is unsure as of yet since there has only been that one future life.
She possessed the power of pyrokinesis. It is possible that she had a form of clairvoyance, but not premonitions since no Warren witch had that power between Cassandra Warren and Phoebe Halliwell.
Penelope Halliwell (nee. Baxter)
Birth: June 23rd 1930
Death: March 5th 1998
Penny is best known as Grams. The Grams as Wyatt Halliwell called her. She is the grandmother of the Charmed Ones and daughter to P. Baxter and Gordon Johnson.
Penny went to college and became close friends to her sorority sister, Gail.
Penny married a number of four times, and was engaged 6, but her first husband was her true lover. He was a mortal man, named Allen (although disputed to be Jack in the family tree) Halliwell, she took his last name.
They had a baby girl, Patricia Halliwell (keeping with the P tradition), but Allen was killed by a warlock and Penny’s former best friend – Robyn. Because of that, she became a fierce demon hunter, and many demons feared her. She formed a coven, with her friend Gail and other people, but her granddaughters believed it was a Bridge Club.
Penny fell in love with a Necromancer, but she could not be with him, even though he did truly love her. She banished him but he returned in 2003, when she returned from the afterlife and banished him for good, using her ancestors.
Penny is responsible for the majority of the potions and spells in the Book of Shadows, but everytime she returns from the afterlife she is always surprised at how big it has gotten.
Penny was never happy about her daughter Patty marrying Victor Bennett, but she was even more unhappy when Patty had an affair with her Whitelighter Sam Wilder, which made Paige Matthews possible. She kept the baby a secret from the whole family, for Patty, so the baby could live and have a normal life.
Penny wanted to prevent her granddaughters from receiving their powers, and created a potion to completely strip them of their powers, however she died before that could happen.
She is now a high priestess and married Piper Halliwell and her husband Leo Wyatt in a handfasting ceremony. She also performed the Wiccanings on her two grandsons and presumably on the rest of her great-grandchildren.
Ten years after her daughter’s death, Penny was visited a past version of her daughter and a future version of her granddaughter, Piper, and they all went to the future to save the Warren line. It was there than she also met the future versions of Paige Matthews, Wyatt Halliwell and Chris Halliwell for the first time. In 1975, the future versions of the original Charmed Ones visited her, where she met the three of them. It was then she found out that her granddaughters would become the Charmed Ones. Penny does not remember the trip meeting Paige, Wyatt and Chris, since her memory was erased of that trip to the future.
Penny possessed the power of telekinesis.
Patricia Halliwell
Birth: April 5th 1950
Death: February 28th 1978
Patty was the only child of Penny and Allen Halliwell. When she was nine she made up a spell to counteract one of her mother’s, proving herself to be a very smart witch.
She married a mortal, named Victor Bennett, much to her mother’s dislike, and with him she gave birth to three daughters. She never took Victor’s last name, but she did keep with the P tradition for her children, naming them Prudence, Piper and then Phoebe, after her favourite aunt.
Patty had an affair with her Whitelighter, Sam Wilder. When Victor found out he left Patty. Patty then had her daughter, Paige, who she had to put up for adoption since a Whitelighter-Witch relationship was forbidden. Penny helped her keep this secret, however the truth came out after Prudence’s death in 2001.
Patty met the future versions of her three eldest daughters in 1975, before she realised that she was pregnant with Phoebe. Just before this, however, she was met by the future version of her daughter, which took her to two future events. She then met the future version of her mother, her two youngest daughters and her two eldest grand-children. She never remembered any of this, however, since her son-in-law, Coop, erased her memory of the event.
Patricia had to bind her daughter’s powers when they were young, with her mother’s help, since a demon called Nicholas was after their powers.
She was killed by a water demon, however she was able to return later in her daughters’ lives to help them. She added many pages to the Book of Shadows and some of them in death, most notable Barbus.
She possessed the power to molecular immobilisation.
