Alright, first of all, I need to say I'm so sorry that this review too so long. I had some family issues that needed to be dealed with, but they're alright now. But, anyway, now it's all better, so you all can have commentary courtesy of me now! Aren't you all happy! Sorry, once again, that this review is VERY late.
REVIEW STARTS HERE
And we're back to Angels and Demons. It's season 2 now, and, since it's been a couple of months, I think that I should give a quick recap. Basically, I'll put the biggest shocker of all in it - Prudence (Phoebe's daughter) and Ryan (Melinda's husband) died at the end of season one. Wow, I'm subtle, aren't I? Anyway, let's see how their deaths infect shock waves and grief inot the next generation... and how demons are planning around with Prudence (who was a Charmed One) now dead.
And Melinda is still missing! Hopefully, she's alright. However, we DO get to see Liam again, who I REALLY like a lot, thanks to the person who plays him, Eric Szmanda. (Kinda a CSI freak as well as a Charmed freak).
However, then we head over to Melinda, who is fine. Brunette, but fine. However, we do get to meet Will and Nathan - who, according to my sources (and Chloe's interview) will turn up a bit in the series, mostly Nathan. Who is played by the HOT (as in ON FIRE hot) Jensen Ackles. *Fans self and realizes that Supernatural is on tonight... AND GRINS! ;D)
It's definetly interesting that Sarah is now a lead cast member. I think that it's pretty nice, since I actually liked her... and I don't like many Chris love-interests in stories... I'm somewhat protective of him. However, it's nice to see that there's a new main cast member, since Pru and Ryan are now gone.
As it goes on, we get to see more of Will and Nathan, along with Wyatt and Piper, and Sarah, Chris, and Henry. Along with a Melinda scene. To save time, I'll talk about each scene now.
First of all, the Wyatt and Piper scene. I think that Wyatt's getting a tab obsessed with finding Melinda. Which is understandible, but I think that he could cool down a little bit.
And then the Will and Nathan scene. As some of us know, Jensen Ackles is really, truly amazing at playing brother scenes in Supernatural. And James Lafferty is a really good actor as well, with playing a brother on One Tree Hill as well. So, it's extremely interesting to imagine them doing this, two actors who have experience playing on-screen actors. I grin just thinking about it. ;D
And then, we have the Sarah, Henry, and Chris scene. Looks like Henry's actually grown up a lot since the first season. Maybe it's an affect of Pru's death? Either way, Henry's changed since the last season's end. Meanwhile, Chris is a bit more head-first - more different of a contrast with him in the first season. I do, however, like how Sarah tries to calm him down a bit. I wonder what they've been doing in the past month together? Vanquishing demons a lot, probably.
However, my favorite scene from this episode has to be the Hannah/Holly/Leo scene. It's truly heartbreaking, since they both want everything to be alright again, and that they want to try and bring Pru and Ryan back from the dead. It does, however, make me wonder - have either Pru or Ryan been reincarnated into someone? Are we going to find out what?
Though, I also really love the Melinda/Nathan scene. It was truly interesting, and I really loved some of the banter that they had with each other - I can't wait to see where they go throughout the series, so they've got my interest.
LOL, I loved how Pagan was bossing everyone around, and I love Wyatt's line after it. I really like that we get to see the Power of Four a little more. I would love for us to be able to read more about their adventures and stuff. Maybe we'll get to see more of them now. I can hope, right?
I also really love the next two Nathan/Melinda and Sarah/Henry/Chris scenes. They're all really interesting, and give you a look into all of their psychs at the moment, which I'm curious about since Pru and Ryan's deaths had to have hurt them all a lot. I also like learning a bit more about Nathan's history - plus, I'm a bit curious about his fiancee.
And then, Chris and Henry are shot! OH, that demons have my permanet wrath, now - they're two out of three of my favorite witch-whitelighters! Nice job, Sarah, though, for fighting against the demon alone, she gets props with that. Oh, god, they better be alright. If they're not, I'll jump into my computer and beat that demon up!
And that's the first part of the two-part Angels and Demons season 2 premiere. The next part of this review will be posted ASAP... I SWEAR IT!
And the questions will be posted there, as well.
