Okay, that is it. I’m finally going to start kicking my ass into gear and review already, before the break ends and I have even more work up on me. First of all, I’m really sorry it’s taken me so long to do this, but I’ve had some major health and home issues that have finally been sorted out. So, now I can review for this season, and actually be able to keep up with everything. You guys know how life is - it sucks.
Anyway, part 2 of the two part season beginning. Anyway, last time, Henry and Chris were shot with Darklighter arrows, and Sarah was the only one around. Now, I trust Sarah, even though she’s a character in a story, but I had a bad feeling at the beginning that the cave would be blocked from Wyatt, and he wouldn’t be able to orb in and save the day, like he always does. But, however, it looks like the cave wasn’t blocked, and Hen and Chris get to live *does a little victory dance, ‘cause she’s been very unhappy if someone died... again...*
I liked the scene between Melinda, Nathan, and Will, even though I’m not a big Melinda fan at the moment. I agree with Mona - Melinda’s a bit of a brat. Okay, a LOT of a brat. I know she was hurting at the end of the last season, but I don’t really like her that much in this episode. Though, I have to say, I like Will a lot. Maybe because of my One Tree Hill obsession, or something like that. But, then again, I also like Nathan. But then, I have a Supernatural obsession. A GIANT Supernatural obsession. So, yes, I’m biased.
However, I was raising a bit of an eyebrow when I read the scene with Melinda, the demon, and the girl. I’m actually surprised that the demon didn’t attack her, which makes me think that the demon might have another plan... or he’s running down to the Underworld to tell all of his little friends... if demons have friends. Wait, CAN demons have friends? Hmmm... *ponders in her own twisted head* That’s a question for another day, I guess. Another day, another day... okay, I’m done talking... erm, writing... to myself. I’ll get on with the review.
I enjoyed the little Power of Four scene, along with Liam and Piper. I love the concept of that idea... the cousins forming the Power of Four, while Melinda, Prudence, and Henry formed the Power of Three, and Wyatt and Chris formed the Power of Two. I loved how that happened, and would have loved to seen it continue like that. It was a good idea, especially, with all of the elements. I also loved Piper’s threat about Paige calling, and then Holly’s eye raising, and then Piper saying about their dad calling. I can totally see Paige being like that as a mother - a great one, but laid back and relaxed. While Henry, the parole officer, is more protective.
I enjoyed the Wyatt-Chris-Henry-Sarah scene. I like all four of these characters, so it’s a good thing for me. However, Henry’s got to be my favorite... yes, my One Tree Hill is making me a biased reviewer... so sue me, LOL. ;P I also enjoyed Chris telling Wyatt what to do so they could find Melinda quicker, and I’m wondering why Wyatt didn’t think of that sooner... or at all, actually, LOL. But, I’m a little glad to see that Chris is going to stop going on death hunts, since death usually comes to the Halliwells when they DON’T seek it out.
I’m impartial when it comes to the Nathan and Melinda scene in her apartment. I can see that Melinda’s being self centered in here - and, Mona, I completely agree with you about Melinda, in case you’re reading this - and I think that Nathan can see that, and he’s trying to send her back to her family. So, Nathan’s a pretty cool guy in my book at the moment. He reminds me a bit of Dean in Supernatural - just a lot more soft around the edges, unlike Dean.
I like seeing all of the cousins together like that, and we get to see a little bit about the Power of Four - something we didn’t get to see in the first season. I’m hoping that we get to see more of that during this season since, like I said above, I think that the four of them being the Power of Four and having the power of the elements is a very good and creative idea that should stick around for awhile.
I enjoyed Wyatt hunting around the Underworld for information, I can see that. I just hope he doesn’t get himself killed or something like that while doing it, cause I can totally imagine him doing that, since he’s Wyatt. I also liked that the demon noticed, and I wonder what he’s going to do to Melinda. I have a couple of ideas, but I’m not going to say anything about them, since this is a REVIEW, and not a speculation.
And then Wyatt goes straight to Chris and Sarah, which is fine by me. I could always imagine the two brothers being close like that, even when their sister is around, or, in this case, when they’re not around. I still don’t like Melinda, but I do hope, for Wyatt’s sake, that she’s alright in the end of all of this. And for Chris. And for Piper and Leo. Not for Melinda, because she’s not one of the characters that are on my good side. Nor will she ever be on my good side.
I enjoyed the Power of Four scene there, too. Nice way to show us how they used their magic, and I enjoyed the spell that they used in order to try and find Melinda. I also loved Peyton’s comment about seven years bad luck for each of them.
I enjoyed the Nathan-Will stuff, too. As I said in my last review, a long time ago, I enjoy watching both in One Tree Hill and Supernatural, where they both play brothers. I can easily see that on a screen. However, I’m also wondering about several remarks during their conversation. I can tell that there’s something about Nathan that nobody else knows but Will, and I’m hoping that we’ll find out what it is later on. But, I enjoyed the kidnapping. I always enjoy kidnappings, LOL.
I also enjoyed the rest of the episode, with the Wyatt, Chris, Henry... the cousins, everyone. It was a good episode, and I love everything when they’re all in the warehouse. It’s sad, though, since Pru is missing now. But, I bet she’s with them in spirit... or something like that, LOL. Something like that. But I enjoyed it. And the ending. They’re back together, but the Halliwells have a lot of things to do before they’re back to normal. Well, as normal as they ever can be, anyway.
And that’s it - a review from Baley Marisol. Expect another within the next day or so - I’m going to kick my ass into gear in this week that I have off from school.
And that’s it! LONG LIVE THE PUGS!
