Okay, so I’ve always been conflicted about Melinda but right now, I really hate her, seriously. It’s like Phoebe said, she had lost her daughter. Honestly, I can’t think of anything more cruel but parents who loose their child. But no, instead of them all grieving they have to go around search for Melinda. Of course, she is mourning her loss as well, of course she is hurt but what is that crap about wanting to protect her family when she is the one putting them all in danger. I mean she’s the reason that Chris is on this demon-vanquish-trip getting himself in danger plus Sarah and Henry because they can’t leave him. Wyatt is putting his life on hold searching for her, not to mention the younger cousins who have to deal with the loss as well. Her running away for me is nothing but an act of immaturity and selfishness. I really can’t feel for her, pity her or understand her. I kind of hope something bad happens to her that makes her go back home and realise what a bitch she was by worrying the whole family and making Phoebe and Piper fight, when Phoebe really needs her big sister to deal with death of her daughter.
Well, now, I feel a lot better. What a start for a new season, me hating the main character. ;D
Now, I’ve got to ask, are Chris and Sarah together? I didn’t get that I think. I barely can remember her. I really need to check on her again if she stays an important part of the season.
This new character Nathan is interesting, though. But being a potential whitelighter does that mean he has to die soon? That’d suck. I don’t know a lot about the military structures especially the one of the US Army, despite living so close to two bases. But I am always willing to learn about every kind of stuff. Although, I have a really strong opinion about the military but this is not the place to voice that. For the story of course it is a logical thing that Nathan has a profession like that.
I liked the start of the season, no matter what I said about Melinda or anyone. And as this was a two part episode I’m really curious if Wyatt will have difficulties to heal Henry and Chris as it just left there.

Finally, I've been able to read the second part of the first episode. It was really exciting with a lot of demonic activity. For me, as a German it was quite funny, when Melinda said Nathan's cell phone became handy. As in Germany we call a cell phone 'handy'. I'm sorry, I still don't understand why Melinda ran away worrying the whole family, putting them in danger and I swear if one more family member hearing that they understand I go crazy. They are all grieving but only she ran away. Everyone else at least tries to deal with it. Although, I'm afraid because of her keeping everyone busy no one really had time to mourn so far. So, I still think her reaction was nothing but selfish and I really can't understand how everyone is just like 'Oh, I'm so glad you are back', although I do understand that they are happy that nothing happened to her. I just wait for this one person and for some reason I hope it is Phoebe, don't as me why, is screaming at her for acting like that. apart from that, I really loved this episode and me hating Melinda is just my personal issue.

Thanks for the comments, Mona. I really do understand where you're coming from, Melinda was being selfish, but walking through the door, all Piper and Leo were bothered about was that she was back. That doesn't mean that there's not going to be words said now that she is back, I'm just building my way up to it. Not everybody in the fmaily understands. You can't like every character, but I will make it my mission to get you to like Melinda but I do understand why you don't. The first season I did really concentrate more on Pru's and Henry's characters. I knew I was taking Ryan and Chloe out so I wasn't so bothered about (I know, bad idea but...nevermind...all done) and Melinda took a back seat but I will make her more likeable. As for Sarah, she and Chris are together, and she will come more out of her shell this season. I can promise that. I just didn't seem to have the time in the second half of the last season, but I do now. Thanks again for the comments, they are much appreciated.

I really hope you won't change Melinda's character. I understand how much work it is to work out a character and I'm sure you thought something when you did her like you did. It maybe wasn't right when I said, I hated Melinda. It's more her behavior and actions lately. Maybe if she starts to act like a grown up and not a mistreated little girl, I will come to like her ;D I think she did really well in this episode or maybe I only liked her suffering I'm so cruel. Now, seriously, this episode rocked. I think it'll become my favorite. I mean I know the season only started but there has to be something very, very amazing to change my mind. I'm just a lot into alternative timelines or time traveling. I really loved this episode. The characters were kind of different, they had to of course. Once again, Henry was my favourite. Even though, he was kind of traumatized and angry and aggressive, he was the most fun to read about. For me, he is one of the best characters ever developed. I'm really glad you took your time to introduce him in the first season. Ever episode, he has a big part is a good one, just because he such a great person. I think Sarah is a sweet and nice person and very like able, really down to earth. So, I hope when you give her a bigger role that won't change. See, I like her character ;D I can do with not liking Melinda too much and it maybe makes me see the story a bit different then if I liked. Now, with that said, I want you to know I should be writing a diploma thesis at the moment, but what am I doing? I check out this forum. I really have to say, I'm impressed how much work and time you spend on this. It's a great site and you have so many artwork here, it's amazing. You really put your heart into this. It's great.

I've been really bad and not commented on this one either. I loved the two parter, I'm with Mona though, Melinda is a selfish, childish little girl and needs to grow up! You've made me hate her! THat's not good because I liked her at the start. I love Nathan though, his character is so cute and I hope to see him a little more later. Poor Chris, he's taking it hard with his sister gone, fighting all the demons and its gonna get him killed. You're not gonna kill him temporarily are you? And Henry too! I'm glad he's got more of a part straight away. It took me a while to get into his character it was like you forgot all about him at the start of the show. Anyway, onto SUnday's episode. Alternate realities are always good and you made this one soo cool. By not having powers, drastic things still happened. You killed the Twins off though! Why?!?!?! And poor Chris being crazy, I liked the idea though, well thought out there. His memories would still affect him. What was great though was that you didn't make it too drastic that they would go straight back to their reality, but you also didn't make it really great that they would never really want to go back. Anyway, that's all for now, I will try and comment every week from now on! Sorry!

thank you again guys. The last episode has been my most favourite episode of Angels and Demons to write so far, so I'm really glad that you enjoyed it. AU's are always fun to write.
I would say more right now, but I'm really really tired and need to go to bed. No, I haven't had a break from uni, Mona. hehe. I had exams at the end of August so spent the whole vacation studying and now I'm back full time so back into the full swing of things on my final year, so lots and lots of work and it counts as 75% of my grade!
ANyway, thanks for the comments.

What a great power advancement Henry got. It's great, really clever thinking Now they have all Charmed powers they need after Prue's death. Really cool. I'm not so sure what to think about Melinda and Nathan. First, she's all crazy grieving and now back with another guy. maybe it's only bothering me because of my opinion of Melinda. I do love Henry, though. Poor guy was vanquishing demons all the time all by himself getting no sleep. I hope they now understand that they all have to help out more. I liked the episode a lot especially the Henry moments and Liam is kind of funny. No one listens to him, guess that's what being a whitelighter is all about ;D By the way, what was this kettle, black- thing Wyatt said to Leo? I don't get it either. I don't want to be as clueless as Leo

Thanks again for the review, Mona. I'm really glad you liked the Henry moments and you think the power advancement was a good idea. As for Melinda and Nathan, they are not together. Nathan is just someone who understands what Melinda is going through, since he's been through something similar (losing someone close because of his job) and is an impartial ear to listen to. Melinda isn't moving on that quickly and it would be stupid for me to write it like that. Yup, Liam is your typical whitelighter, nobody really listens to him. As for your question. There is a saying in the English language of "Talk about the Pot calling the Kettle black." Its to do with a teapot and a kettle that are both black. Its just being a hypocrite. Hope that explains it all. Thanks again for the comments.

Finally, I have some time to say a few words to the last episode. But what can I say diploma thesis, James Blunt concert and family issues is too much for one week.
Can you believe I totally forgot that Melinda was pregnant. Still, don’t like her. I’m really glad Phoebe told her a few words. Exactly my thinking. I love Phoebe for it although I think it was a bit inconsequent how she acted way softer in the end. You know my opinion for me Melinda could totally back out of the magic business. I don’t really miss her. Once again poor Henry had to suffer. I like him way to much to see him suffer all the time. Take someone else for a chance. Maybe, I don’t know, Sarah? A none family member for a change.
I was thinking that this series is more family concentrated while Progency is really focused on the magic and fighting and so on. Maybe I take that wrong. Although I don’t think it’s bad. It makes the two series really different and you can read both and never read the same. Anyway, I liked the story (every story focused on Henry is a good one for me and then some time travelling or alternative universe and I’m happy).
Oh and thanks for the explanation with the kettle thing. See, that's how it goes if you have international fan base ;D

Every episode with Barbus is a good episode for me. I really can't wait to see what happens with (my favorite character) Henry. I think if Melinda wants to keep out of magic, she should be kept out. I'm just mean to her. anyway, poor Chris being trapped in his own head. I hope he did overcome his fear. I mean that his powers worked again could also be a sign that he was pissed at Barbus for talking crypitc about Henry's whereabouts. I'm really excited about the episode next week.

Ok, I finally got through the first season and just got done the Season Two premiere. Great work, Lexi and anybody else who helped write the premiere. It seemed a bit loose to me, I will admit though. It seemed to be kinda like Heroes, several different sets of characters dealing with their own issues, and the looseness came from the constant bouncing in between each set. Unlike Heroes, however, all of the individual subplots resulting from that bouncing was at least intertwined and revolving around Melinda running away. So I was happy about that.
The introduction to Jensen Ackles' character, Nathan, was a good idea. An Army man that turns out to be a potential Whitelighter. I can see that, and I can believe that which adds reality to the character and that makes him all the more intriguing.
Sarah and Chris being together is something that should really be brought out and given more depth. The two look really good together.
Henry, Melinda, Wyatt, and the others are also getting good too. It's like the premiere title suggests, "A New Start".

Thanks Drew, I couldn't quite figure out another way of doing the premier without it jumping between the different areas, but I'm glad you liked that it all linked to one thing and was brought together. Its great that you've spent time to get through Season 1, thank you

Ok, just finished with Episode 2x02. Since I've got a day off today, I figured I'd catch up with Angels and Demons or as much of it as I can anyway.
So now, onto my review of "A New Start, Pt. 2":
*The story seemed more concrete than "A New Start, Pt. 1", I will say. It seemed to flow a lot better.
*However, it seemed to start out really fast-paced and level off to pretty slow-moving and then jumped to high-octane level again. It seemed like in the beginning, a lot of the key points that I think should've been mixed all throughout the episode seemed to happen at once, you know? Like Wyatt telling Chris and the others that he's going down to the Underworld to see if they've found anything new about Melinda and then just happens to orb into a meeting where a demon is telling other demons that he saw Melinda in L.A. the night before. Then it levels off and starts to move a bit slower which is a good thing. But then, nearer the last two parts of the episode, it all happens. Nathan and Will get kidnapped, Melinda reunites with the rest of the Halliwells, the battle against Demon #2.
*Also, it seemed a bit odd that Piper and Leo would just be so happy to see her. I can understand it because she's their daughter after all, but still, it's like how Wyatt and Chris close the episode. "One big happy family again? No, not by a long shot." Or something to that effect.
Don't get me wrong, this episode was very good. But I think it would do a lot to improve if you mixed the action all throughout the episode and if it started out slowly and built to a more fast-paced finish. Not like a racecar going 0-60 in several seconds and then leveling off mid-race, then punching it again to come out on top. Did that make any sense at all?
