Season 2

Okay, I have to hurry before the next episode will be up. I finally got a chance to read the last two episodes. Now, what can I say? First of all I’m kind of glad the two demons from the future are gone. Not that it was boring to have them around but it leaves room for others. An episode with two Chris’ and Wyatts, I think I like that idea. Seriously, just imagine it. I would have liked to see that one on screen. But I guess you can’t have everything. It’s good to see a bit about the future, though. (do Chris and Sarah split up?) I take it they will grow even more powerful, maybe because someone is missing …like Melinda? I know that sounds mean but I still can’t stand her. I’m so sorry. Maybe it’ll change when it stops that everything seems to be placed around her. I mean seriously, as long as she was still pregnant every second sentence she stated was ‘I can’t have stress’. And all I was thinking was, Girl, you are only a few months pregnant. I mean what about the women who have three other kids at home and still go to work the first trimester of their pregnancy, seriously, they have stress. Going to the grocery store is no stress. Moreover, she seems to find time and it is not too much stress to meet with some guy. I admit stress of any kind is always bad for your body, no matter if you are pregnant or not. But she acted like from now on she had to be kept away from everything. This whole attitude annoyed me a lot. She’s not out of glass, so why should anyone handle her like that. But now she lost the baby and I hope she will deal with her loss – of both, the baby and Nathan – like an adult for a change. Still, Wyatt annoys me with his ‘talk to Mel’ every two seconds like no one had anything else to do. Yes, she went through a lot, okay I get it but for some reason it still doesn’t affect me and I’m not sure if that’s a good sign regarding the character, she shall be. There is just an overload with her and her problems and I think that should change eventually. There a lots of other interesting characters. And with Prue gone there is huge chance to introduce the other cousin for example as well. I did like the Guitar Man, in the last episode. That was a great creation for a demon. But the vanquish was almost too easy. First, it seemed like a real problem but it turned out as a fast easy vanquish. It’s actually the same with Chris’ friends reaction towards him admitting he’s a witch and the rest of the family as well. They just accepted it easily. That would have had potential, it’s something you could have made more of.
All together I know how much work you put into this two series and generally they are great, both of them. But this one seems to become a one-man-show and it’s neither a lot about the brothers nor the Power of Three, which still has to be re-created after Prue’s death. Still, the ideas in the last two episodes were great but for me they worked out too fast and easy.

They did end up working out too fast, I admit it, but I ended up running out of time in putting everything in and with so much work to do in the real world...I know it shouldn't be an excuse and it seems to happen at lot at the moment, but uni and work really is getting on top of me at the moment, plus being ill. Grr, just seems like everything is attacking at the moment.
Anyway, thank you for your honest opinion, that's what I like about your reviews. I am trying to stop being so Melinda centric, but there are a few things that I want to get tied up so I can move on. As for Wyatt saying 'talk to Mel', its all because for the Halliwells not to really talk, especially Mel and Chris, its a big thing - they talk about everything - so for him to not have checked up on her is a big thing.
Anyway, thanks again and I'll be sure to get the episode up tomorrow

Ooooo, the last episode was so cool. I loved the idea for the demon and I could just picture Josh Holloway playing the demon. I have to agree with Mona though, the vanquish did end up being a little too easy especially with all the hype that there was about it all. Chris' friends dealing with the fact that he's a witch.....it was a little sudden, but then I guess if they've known him since high school and had him run out on them, they've finally got an explanation for it all.

Alright. Just got through "Be Careful What You Witch For". It was better than the premiere. Much better. The story is starting to flow together pretty well. It seemed to still be kinda easily resolved, but it was drawn out a lot longer than in ANS Pt. 1 or ANS Pt. 2. All in all, a good episode as were the others, don't get me wrong. Keep up the good work.

"Deep Astral Trouble" Review:
The Good: Chloe did an amazing job on this episode. The best one so far this season which just proves my last point that as the season progresses that the storyline as a whole only gets better. If the pattern continues, then "Get Back On the Horse" will be even better than this one. I've got some homework to do right now, but I will finish up as much as I can of what's been aired for this season before I go into my meeting to plan out "Doomsday (2)" for Sam.
The Bad: I only found one thing that I didn't like in this entire episode. That being Sarah guessing that Henry's meant to get a premonition and then right after that basically, he gets one. I thought that could've been spaced out a bit more, but I'm not complaining.
My Score: I'm gonna give "Deep Astral Trouble" a 9-out-of-10. Keep up the amazing work, Chloe!

"Get Back On the Horse" Review:
The Good: I loved this episode! It was very well put together and it wasn't loose at all for me. This is easily the best episode of Angels and Demons season two so far. Making an episode focus on Melinda and Henry was a fantastic idea. And the storylines for each weren't bad either.
The Bad: There wasn't anything bad about this episode. It doesn't say who wrote it, but whoever it is, obviously learned from past mistakes.
My Score: 10-out-of-10. Hands down.

"Face Your Fears" Review:
The Good: The best thing about this episode was that you brought Barbus back and gave him one bad ass of a new power. Chris' vanquish of him was awesome too. It really does show that he cares about all members of his family and not just Wyatt, Melinda, and Sarah as it seems at times. And then there's the Henry storyline that I'm hoping will be dealt with in "The Final Heist" which I am going to read now. I can't wait to see how you deal with it. Please tell me that Keely and Kieran die soon?!
The Bad: The only bad thing about this episode was that it seemed Wyatt helped Chris out pretty fast. I think it could've been drawn out a bit more than Wyatt showing Chris that Sarah isn't dead, scaring Barbus out of Chris' fears, and then Chris waking up. But it played out well in the end so it isn't a big deal to me.
My Score: Despite having a bad point while "Get Back On the Horse" didn't, I'm still gonna give "Face Your Fears" a 10-out-of-10. It was a fantastic episode by far.

Thanks for all the reviews Drew, I really love seeing the good and the bad points for each of them, it helps us all grow as writers, as I'm sure you know as a writer yourself.
I'm really glad you enjoyed Get Back on the Horse it was actually one of the hardest episodes to write so far and I'm also glad that you liked what I did with Barbus' power. Its about time he got a bit of a power boost really, well in my opinion.
If an episode doesn't say who it is written by, its written by me. I make sure I make it known if someone else has written the episode.
Anyway, thank you again and I look forward to reading your review on The Final Heist

I make sure I make it known if someone else has written the episode. Anyway, thank you again and I look forward to reading your review on The Final HeistYeah, reviews are always great. It does help you grow as a writer and when you're writing a major story arc like... well... a show, then that's the best thing you can hope for. I always thought that Barbus deserved a power boost. Charmed had him for at least one episode every season by my count, but he always seemed to have the same old powers which got kinda boring after a while, you know? So, it's a great thing that you gave him a new power and a pretty bad ass one if I do so myself only makes it better. I'll remember that for future reference. I just got done with "The Final Heist" so here's the review: The Good:The episode as a whole was interesting. It brought about three storylines together and finished off all of them as well. A storyline does need to be drawn out if it can, but it shouldn't be drawn out for several episodes unless it's like a Big Bad so one full episode to take care of these storylines was a great way to handle it. And you killed off Kieran and Keely! Awesome! The Bad:I thought the way that Henry solved his own problem was a bit too fast. Personally, I thought the attempt on their lives could've been drawn a little bit more than one energy ball being thrown. I was also kinda sad to see Nathan die, even if it was already revealed that he is indeed a Whitelighter. However, on the other hand, the way you killed him off was a hero's exit which for characters of good (witches, Whitelighters, etc) is the best way to die. Kudos. My Score:I'm gonna knock this episode down a point and make it a 9-out-of-10, but it was still an overall amazing episode. Keep up the good work, Lexi.

"That Old Band of Mine" Review:
The Good: The episode was great. A very thought out, well written process. A soul-sucking demon is original. It was done on Supernatural in the episode "Long-Distance Call," but this is the first time I've seen it on anything related to Charmed. Nathan's really getting used to his wings which is a good thing. And Chris played with a band in high school. I did not know that and he's awesome on the guitar!
The Bad: The vanquish. It was way too easy. Jake should've known it was a trap. Plus, with all the women out there to put the whammy on, you'd think he'd be able to find somebody other than the person who happens to be the bait if it happened at like a crossroads or something. I think that's where that scene was anyway.
My Score: 9-out-of-10. Good work, Lexi. At least, I think you're the one who wrote this episode.

"Once, Twice, Three Times a Dead Man" Review:
The Good: Fantastic episode. Well put together, well-written, funny and an intriguing idea for the demon. What more is there to say? Oh, right, I know. You made Jensen Ackles a series regular! Great decision! Nathan's a great character. Now all you need in your main cast is Jared Padalecki, Justin Hartley, Sam Witwer, and Zachary Quinto, and you're golden.
The Bad: I couldn't find anything that I didn't like about the episode.
My Score: 10-out-of-10. Way to go, Lexi. Your episode, right?

Thank you so much for the two reviews. As I've already admitted, the vanquish was too easy in That Old Band of Mine and I could have done more with it. I will learn from it though. As for Once, Twice, Three Times a Dead Man, I'm so glad that you loved the episode so much. Yes it was another one written by me, the majority of them are. This was one episode that I really wanted to pull of because it was something that I'd never seen done before so thought I'd give it a go, so I am really glad that I managed it.
Thanks again and now you're all caught up! That's awesome.

"School of Hell is next right? And it airs on Sunday? Can't wait to read it. Yeah, all you need for the remainder of season two is to reunite Jensen with Jared Padalecki and have Justin Hartley, Sam Witwer, and Zachary Quinto sign on as recurring characters or main cast members and you're golden!

Actually I think an overload of work is a perfectly fine excuse and I can imagine how difficult it must be to squeeze all your ideas – and I can tell you have lots of good ideas – in a story that should be a TV episode of 40 to 45 minutes and then post new updates to a fixed date. For me that sounds pretty hard considering you do this for nothing but fun and some readers you don’t even know and remember it should stay fun not work. You shouldn’t pressure yourself too much and leave things out rather than trying to put everything in one episode. Now, I quickly say what I thought about the last part with the Riddle Man before there will be a new update again. I liked it. I’m so bad with riddles. I only know one or two and everyone seems to know those answers. Anyway, I’d still be in that cabin, or dead because I couldn’t solve one of the riddles. It was good to see more of Henry in this episode again. I truly love him and am always sad when he barely appears. Strange enough, Melinda was not too bad this time. but I’m afraid I will never become a fan of her. Actually, I could do without her. Moreover, I feel like her character is a bit inconsequent. But please don’t pay too much attention to my opinion about her. I’m affected by my personal dislike. Apart from that, the scenes with Chris and Sarah were really funny. But after the episode with Future Chris and Future Wyatt I have this feeling like it’ll end bad between the two. By the way how about you let Sarah die and Melinda is to blame. And then everyone hates her. I like that idea ;-) But that doesn’t belong here I know. It just came to me. I still liked the episode and of course the ending leaves me wondering.
